Creative Communities Scheme
The arts of New Zealand are flourishing in our culturally diverse communities - in rural communities, towns and cities, and in a range of ways and places. Arts projects may be large and complex, involving many people or smaller-scale projects, or involving just a few individuals.
Creative New Zealand is committed to supporting opportunities for New Zealanders to engage in the arts, wherever they live and whatever their circumstances.
The Kapiti Coast District Council accepts applications twice a year for Creative New Zealand funding. The applications are processed at a local level and grants are approved.
The three main funding criteria are:
(i) Projects that increase participation in the arts (e.g. opportunity for active participation by community).
(ii) Projects that increase the range and diversity of the arts available to communities (e.g. presentation of new works/experiences).
(iii) Projects that enhance and strengthen the local art sector (e.g. training, seminars, networking).
An application form will be available here approximately six weeks before closing date.
Closing dates for 2008 are: Friday 28 March & Friday 26 September
