The Kapiti Coast District is well served by print and broadcast media.
The Dominion Post provides considerable regional coverage while the Kapiti Observer and the Kapiti News provide bi-weekly and weekly news coverage of local people, politics and events from Paraparaumu.
The monthly Paekarariki Expressed and the Otaki Mail focus on the south and north of the District. The Horowhenua-Kapiti Chronicle based in Levin also covers Kapiti Coast news and issues on a daily basis.
Three radio groups with various stations provide commercial coverage while Coast Access Radio based in Waikanae provides another vital community service.
