Elections


Local authority elections are held every three years throughout New Zealand and are conducted by postal vote. This is your chance to elect people who represent you on Council.   
   
The local authority elections are held under the provisions of the Local Electoral Act 2001, the Local Electoral Regulations 2001 and the Local Government Act 2002.   

The  local authority elections were held on Saturday 13 October 2007.
