BERL Regional Indicators
The BERL Jan 06 economic ranking of NZ’s 73 territorial authorities is interesting and shows real growth in Horowhenua, which has risen in the overall rankings 14 places over the past two years. The district is ranked 8th for GDP growth, 23rd for business units growth, and 4th for labour productivity.
Kapiti is ranked 14th overall, up 17 places in two years. It ranked 15th for GDP growth, 10th for population growth, and 15th for employment growth.
