Welfare Centres

When activated, Civil Defence Welfare Centres are opened by volunteer staff at:

• Otaki: Memorial Hall, Main Street
• Te Horo: Te Horo Hall, School Road, Te Horo 
• Waikanae: Memorial Hall, Pehi Kupa Street
• Paraparaumu: St Paul’s Church, Kapiti Road (with the Kapiti Community Centre at 15 Ngahina Street, Paraparaumu as a back-up)
• Raumati: Kapiti Uniting Parish, 27 Raumati Road, Raumati
• Paekakariki: St Peter’s Church Hall, Beach Road.

Volunteer agencies such as the St John Ambulance Service and the Red Cross are listed in your local telephone directory.
