Community Halls
The Kāpiti Coast District Council supplies and maintains a number of buildings for community use. These buildings provide suitable venues for residents to meet for leisure, recreation, sport, cultural, social, and educational activities. At present the halls are used for various activities including private social events, meetings, play groups, and indoor leisure activities. These include:
- five Memorial Halls in Paekakariki, Raumati, Paraparaumu, Waikanae and Otaki
- a rural hall in Reikorangi Rd, Reikorangi
- a sporting pavilion in Paraparaumu
- a meeting room at the Paraparaumu Library.
Bookings
Bookings can be made by phone as listed for each hall, or by email to Bookings@kapiticoast.govt.nz stating date, time, type of activity, numbers of people expected, and hall preference (if any).
Halls
Rooms are available for hire at the Kapiti Community Centre in Ngahina Street, off Kapiti Road, Paraparaumu. Phone (04) 902-3240
Paraparaumu Memorial Hall
Paraparaumu Memorial Hall is situated on the corner of Aorangi and Tutanekai Streets. It is ideal for large functions, such as, weddings, balls, and parties. It is also used for public and group meetings and sports activities. The hall has a meeting/supper room, kitchen, and both male and female toilets.

Raumati South Memorial Hall
The Raumati South Memorial Hall is situated on Tennis Court Road, South Raumati. The hall’s facilities including a stage, committee room, meeting/supper room, kitchen and both male and female toilets. The hall also has disabled access. The hall is suitable for large functions, such as, weddings and parties, sports activities, and both public and group meetings.

Paekakariki Memorial Hall
The Paekakariki Memorial Hall is suitable for smaller functions, such as, weddings, dances, church, and public meetings. It has a main hall with a stage, kitchen, both male and female changing rooms and toilets. The hall is situated at 98 The Parade, Paekakariki.

Waikanae Memorial Hall
The Waikanae Memorial Hall is suitable for large functions, for example, weddings and dances. It is also suitable for public and group meetings, RSA functions and both sporting and cultural activities. The hall has a main hall with a stage, a smaller hall, RSA committee room, office, kitchen, both male and female toilets and a disabled persons’ toilet.

Waikanae Beach Hall
The Waikanae Beach Hall is situated in Rauparaha Street, Waikanae. The hall is suitable for smaller functions, such as, dances, and both public and group meetings. It has a main hall, kitchen, both male and female toilets and a disabled persons’ toilet.

Reikorangi Hall
The Reikorangi Hall has a main hall, kitchen, shower and both male and female toilets. It is suitable for small functions; group meetings, such as, church meetings and art training; and public meetings. The hall is situated on Akatarawa Road, Reikorangi, Waikanae.

Otaki Memorial Hall
The Otaki Memorial Hall has a variety of facilities these include, a main hall with a stage; two changing rooms; a meeting/supper room; kitchen and both male and female toilets. The hall is suitable for large functions; weddings; parties; public and group meetings; and sports activities. It is situated on Main Street Otaki.

Paraparaumu College Sportshall
The Sportshall is situated on the Paraparaumu College complex. It has a main hall; both male and female changing rooms including showers; storage area; and male and female toilets. The main use of this is with sporting activities and gymnasium use.

Paraparaumu Library Meeting Room
Located in the foyer of the library 179 Rimu Road, Paraparaumu (behind the Council Office). Seats up to 50 people. Facilities include TV, video, OHP, kitchen facilities. Suitable for community groups or business meetings. Nearby cafe can supply light meals/snacks at a reasonable price.

Te Horo Hall
The Te Horo Community Hall is run by an incorporated society and supported by the Kāpiti Coast District Council. The hall is suitable for large functions and for public and group meetings as well as indoor and outdoor sporting events. It consists of a large main hall with a stage, a large kitchen area which can sit 80, both male and female toilets. It is suitable for hiring for any size of function up to about 300 attendees.
