• The Dominion Post provides considerable regional coverage.
• The Kapiti Observer and the Kapiti News provide bi-weekly and weekly news coverage of local people, politics and events from Paraparaumu.
• The monthly Paekakariki Expressed and the Otaki Mail focus on the south and north of the District.
• The Horowhenua-Kapiti Chronicle based in Levin also covers Kapiti Coast news and issues on a daily basis.
• The quarterly Otaki Street Scene promotes businesses, events and the people of Otaki past and present.

Kapiti's Beach FM - 106.3FM

A locally owned and operated independent, commercial radio station. Beach FM caters for listeners aged 35 years and more, with a music-based news and information format. Provides local news and other direct-to-air information and reports seven days a week, including all public holidays. Heard throughout Kapiti and Horowhenua (Pukerua Bay to Sanson), and covering State Highway One some distance further north.
