Schools and Education

The community of the Kāpiti Coast District has identified several outcomes in relation to school services, which are included in Kāpiti Coast: Choosing Futures - Community Outcomes.

These include ensuring that:

• small local schools are retained so children are taught in their local communities
• there is better access to schools for Waikanae children.

The Council is working with the local schools, principals and the Ministry of Education on the future planning of schools in the District.
