District Swimming Pools
There are three public swimming pool complexes in the Kāpiti Coast District.
Raumati and Ōtaki pools are open all year round. Waikanae Pool, an open air complex, opens during the warmer months from early November through to mid April of the following year.

Raumati Pool

General Comments
- an adult is considered as being aged 16 years and over
- all children under eight years of age must be accompanied by an adult
- pools are cleared 10 minutes prior to advertised closing time
- concession tickets purchased at any of the pools may be used at any of the pools. Concession passes, i.e. 10 Swim Trip passes and 30 Trip passes expire after one year from purchase date.
- no t-shirts/singlets, cut-off jeans, 3/4 pants, boxer shorts etc are permitted in the pools
- group bookings must be made through the Parks and Recreation Department of the Kapiti Coast District Council, by phoning (04) 296-4700.
PoolSafe
In 2010 Kāpiti Coast District Council’s Swimming Pools were assessed and accredited as PoolSafe. The key elements audited were:

ACC PoolSafe is a Water Safety New Zealand (WSNZ) programme incorporating a range of initiatives aimed at reducing the number of water related injuries in and around New Zealand pools. These initiatives include educational resources, public awareness campaigns and a Quality Management Scheme for public pools.
