Welfare Centres

When activated, Civil Defence Welfare Centres are opened by volunteer staff at the following locations:

Otaki:
Memorial Hall, Main Street
Te Horo:
Te Horo Hall, School Road
Waikanae:
Memorial Hall, Pehi Kupa Street
Paraparaumu:
St Paul's Church, Kāpiti Road
Back up - Kāpiti Community Centre, 15 Ngahina Street
Raumati Beach:
Kāpiti Uniting Parish, 27 Raumati Road
Raumati South:
Memorial Hall, Tennis Court Road
Paekākāriki:
St Peter's Church Hall, Beach Road


Volunteer agencies such as the St John Ambulance Service and the Red Cross are listed in your local telephone directory.

In an emergency, dial 111, for:

  • police
  • fire - including Rural Fire
  • ambulance
