PARAKORE - ZERO WASTE WORKSHOP
Mon 18th July: 9am-2pm., He Iti Nā Mōtai Whare Kōhungahunga, 144 Tasman road, Ōtaki. Nō hea te para? Come and explore whakapapa of waste and learn about connections to Atua Māori. You'll find out about 'systems of stuff' and get mucky with a waste audit. Suitable for adults, teachers and parents with competence in te reo Māori. Bring a plate of kai to share. Wednesday 20 July, 1-3pm, Te Araroa trail. A guided walk of the Kohekohe loop track on Te Araroa trail, with Ngā Uruora members discussing their planting and developments. Meet at the entrance to the Ames Street Reserve, Paekākāriki. Find out more and register.

Sunday July 17th, 9:30am- 12:30pm, Whareroa Farm. Join the Whareroa Guardians’ planting session near the Ramaroa Stream and in the Ramaroa wetland. The Guardians would be delighted to have families join in, efforts will be rewarded with a hot dog. Find out more and register.

WAITOHU DUNE PLANTING
Saturday 23 July, 10am-12:30pm, meet at the North end of Moana Street, Ōtaki Beach. Join Waitohu Dune Care Group and Kiwi Conservation Club for planting at the Waitohu stream mouth, followed by a sausage sizzle. Find out more and register.
