Labour Day is the traditional time to plant up the summer garden and the school has thousands of summer vegetable seedlings, perennials, flowers and herbs, shrubs and natives - all tried and true in local conditions. The focus is on local heirlooms (like Bridey’s Black Cherry tomatoes), companion flowers and sand-friendly garden plants.
Deliveries: Haven’t got a car or prefer not to drive? Ride your bike and get the local Scouts to deliver your purchases for a small fee
Order: Fertilisers Rok Solid, sheep poo & neem powder
Don’t eat breakfast! Come straight down to the school for a cup of coffee, bacon butty or vegetarian fritter
Troubleshoot with our experienced gardeners Hannah Zwartz and Tina Pope on hand to share their knowledge
Be entertained by local talent and be inspired by the school’s substantial garden
