Community Plan

Kāpiti Coast: Choosing Futures Community Plan describes the Council’s responsibilities and how its actions contribute to the achievement of Community Outcomes.  The Community Plan:

• explains the position the Council has taken in respect of leadership, style and investment
• describes the 14 sustainable development principles developed to guide decision-making and provides examples of what social, economic, cultural, and environmental wellbeing means for the Kapiti Coast District
• consists of 16 activity areas made up of goods or services provided by, or on behalf of, the Council.  Each activity includes service levels that measure performance and guide management of assets
• sets out the Council’s leadership vision; how it wishes to work with the community and the suggested investment priorities for the next 20 years and how it identifies partners in that work  

Kāpiti Coast Choosing Futures: Community Plan 2009 is available in two parts:

• Part One (PDF, 134 pages, 4.1mb) describes what the Council will do to contribute to the community’s vision - the Community Outcomes.
• Part Two (PDF, 332 pages, 4.7mb) provides details about the District, service standards, finance and revenue policies and detailed financial information.
