Marine Gardens upgrade

Designs for the revamping of Marine Gardens are included in the consultation of the Raumati Beach CBD upgrade.  Subject to community input, the intention is to undertake work on the gardens starting July or August 2011.

Miniature rail development

Since 1976 Kāpiti Miniature Railway has been a growing part of the Raumati Beach and Marine Gardens environment and a major tourist attraction for the area.

Over the past 10 years two major developments have been carried out and a third is now planned.  Stage one provided the inner track extension, stage two, building the Station area and in March 2011, stage 3, the Seaview track extension, was started.

Once the extension is completed this will give a far longer train run and let the Club host major events in the future.
