Starting a new business and need to know what licensing or consents may be required? We want to help you understand the compliance requirements to get you started.

The Commercial Activitiy Customer Focus Group has been set up specifically to help you with the big picture in establishing you new businnes requirements.

The Group comprises three specialist officers trained in licensing, building and planning, who meet every Wednesday afternoon between 2.00pm and 4.00pm.

Examples of Activities

Cafe and restaurants, hairdressers, camping grounds, home occupation, changing the use of a building, planning of a temporary event such as a festival, fair or concert.

How do I make a booking?

Please follow the booking instructions on the brochure Starting a Business (PDF, 2 pages, 329Kb).

Accurately record your contact details including the address of your proposed business or activity and an outline of your business proposal. Post or email your application form to the Council and your appointment time will be confirmed by phone.
