Rubbish and Waste Management
Rubbish is collected in your area on the following days:
Council Rubbish Bags
Council rubbish bags come in two forms, paper and plastic bags which are sold by Council directly to local dairies and supermarkets. Plastic rubbish bags are biodegradable.
Recycling bin & Wheelie bin
You can use a recycling bin along with your wheelie bin. You could separate recycling from the normal waste put into the wheelie bin. Wheelie bins are available from local contractors; please refer to your local phone directory or Yellow Pages.
Waste Management Charges
Charges are the responsibility of the operator and are agreed annually with the Council. Charges are posted at the entrance to each transfer station.

- Monday to Saturday - 8.00am to 5.00pm
- Sunday and Public Holidays - 9.00am to 5.00pm
- Closed Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Good Friday and ANZAC Day
Some tips on transporting your rubbish to the transfer station:
- Cover your load
- Sort your recyclables in advance
- Separate your greenwaste from the rest
- Make sure you have your load weighed.
