Two nominations received for Paekākāriki Community Board By-Election

Nominations for the Paekākāriki Community Board By-Election have closed with two nominations received for the vacancy created by the recent death of Chair, Adrian Webster.
The nominees are Rosemary Barrington and Renwick Wright.
The by-election will be held by postal vote under the Single Transferable voting (STV) electoral system.
Voting documents will be posted out between Tuesday 22 May and Friday 25 May and must be received by Electoral Officer by noon on 13 June.
Special Voting will be available from 22 May at the Council’s customer services centre at Kāpiti Lights between 10am and 2pm Monday to Friday and from 8am until 12 noon Wednesday 13 June.
Special Voting will also be available at Paekākāriki Memorial Hall on Saturday 9 June between 10am and 2pm. There will also be a box for people to leave their voting documents if they haven’t posted them already to ensure they get them in on time.
People can still enroll right up to 5pm on 12 June, but if they have enrolled after 24 April they will need to cast a special vote.
