Exciting events for young people this summer

Kāpiti Coast Youth Council is holding a number of exciting events over summer for young people – all free.
Free gym nights, open mic sessions and social touch rugby games are only a few of what's being offered through the Youth2U Live Event Programme.
Similar events were scheduled last year and the Youth Council is urging more young people to get out and enjoy these local activities.
"The events are designed to be fun and easily accessible to young people, so there's no excuse not to come and hang out," says Youth Council member, Jade Patea.
"These events have been planned by young people for young people. We just want to provide some interesting activities because we know sometimes it can boring doing the same old thing".

The Youth2U Live programme runs until March, finishing with the annual Youthfest held on Saturday 16 March.
