Kāpiti Coast YouthFest

There were around 4,000 people in attendance throughout the day, at the Kapiti Coast’s Youth Fest held on Saturday 17 March. 

The day, helped by great weather, saw thousands enjoying the many free activities such as the ever popular giant inflatable slippery soccer field.  Popular acts included The Renegades (DJs) which drew in the largest crowd.  A new addition to the day were hip hop performances by PRAIZ and Adrenaline local dance crews who performed in the skate park during a break from the skate competition, which received 40 entries.

Youthfest is an annual event organized by the Kāpiti Coast Youth Council held at MacLean Park in Paraparaumu Beach. 

Youthfest is about providing young people with an opportunity to showcase their talents, celebrate their diversity and participate in a free community event.  It is a completely youth-led project facilitated by the Youth Council with the whole day being delivered by youth volunteers.
