Booking options

Standard

Standard bookings include room hire and free Wifi. You are also welcome to use the kitchen however you will need to provide your own consumables and tidy up both the kitchen and your room after use.

Serviced

Available during business hours. Te Newhanga Community Centre staff will set up and break down your meeting space and will provide carafes of water. Catering options are available if required.

Community rate

You may qualify for a subsidised rate if you are a local community group.

PLEASE NOTE:  All of our rooms have a set number of chairs/tables allocated to them, if you require extra chairs/tables  for your booking please advise Centre staff who will be able to assist your request.

 

MEETING ROOMS

Pōhutukawa Hall

$35.00 per hour (Standard rate)

The Pohutukawa Hall is one of the largest rooms at the Centre with a 160m2 floor space and high vaulted ceiling with a service hatch access through to the large fully equipped  kitchen.

  • Piano
  • Lecturn x 2

The hall is suitable for a range of events including conferences, large meetings, workshops and exhibitions.

 

 

 

Kōwhai Room

$20.00 per hour (Standard rate)

The Kowhai room is a spacious 50m2 with french doors opening out to a fenced garden area with a service hatch access through to the main kitchen.

The room is ideal for classes, meetings, works shops and small events.

Murray Jensen Room

$15.00 per hour (Standard rate)

The Murray Jensen room is 26m2 and comes equipped with a white board, tea & coffee making facilities.

 

Rātā Room

$15.00 per hour (Standard rate)

The Rata room is ideal for meetings, presentations, small workshops.

Mānuka Room

$15.00 per hour (Standard rate)

The Manuka room is light and airy with vaulted windows and comes equipped with flip tables, chairs, whiteboard, tea & coffee making facilities.

 

Kauri Room

$15 per hour (Standard rate)

The Kauri meeting room is ideal for meetings and smaller workshops.

Nīkau Room

$15 per hour (Standard rate)

The Nikau meeting room is one of the smalles rooms which is ideal for smaller group meetings.

 

Koru Room

$10 per hour

2 to 3 Classroom

The Koru meeting room is the smallest room  in the Centre and is suitable for one on one meetings.

 

Totara

$20.00 per hour (Standard rate)

The Totara room is a large spacious area and is equipped with a heat pump, trestle tables, chairs.  The Totara rooms is a versatile space and suitable for various classes, or workshops.

Foyer / Reception Area

Please note if you wish to use this area during your booking period, you will need to discuss this with Centre Staff as it is a communal area.

Kitchen

The large kitchen is fully equipped; including two ovens, a microwave, commerical sterliser, 2 fridges, continuous boiling water, dinner sets, cutlery, carafes, glasses, mugs, cups and sauces.

The kitchen opens out onto the Pōhutukawa Hall and Kōwhai Room via serving hutches.

Please note you will need to bring your own consumables (tea,coffee,milk, sugar etc and tea towels), all we ask is that you clean up after yourself, wash, sterlise and put away your dishes / equipment, wipe down benches and remove any excess rubbish and recyling bottles etc.
