Reticulation Serviceperson Sewer/Stormwater – Ref:069

Permanent – Full Time

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who has what it takes to succeed in a dynamic and challenging role.  As a member of the Sewer/Stormwater team, your primary duties will include repairs of broken sewer, storm water and water mains and clearance of blockages. Other duties include general maintenance activities such as installation of signs, street furniture, storm water chutes or other structures, and assisting other teams with repair and maintenance of playground equipment, emptying of roadside bins or collection of dumped rubbish within the District as required.

To be considered for this role, you must hold the following:

-       NZQA recognised National Certificate in Water/Sewer/Stormwater Reticulation systems or be willing to study towards it.

-       Current NZ Driver’s Licence (including Heavy Trade licence) without any restrictions.

The role requires the successful applicant to be able to:

-       Work after hours and standby duty as required

-       Undertake and/or assist with a wide variety of duties

-       Be proficient in the use of MapInfo GIS system and applicable Microsoft office programmes
