Kapiti Coast District Council is in the middle of replacing its core ERP system. This role will be working with the ERP Programme of work to ensure that products, systems, and services meet specified requirements and quality standards. The Test Analyst will perform the remaining test activities within the programme as well as support the Test Lead in ensuring the testing strategy is defined and implemented and appropriate test collateral has been developed.

This is a fixed-term opportunity through to November 2026, perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys making a real impact through quality assurance.

About you | He kōrero mōu

To excel in this role, you will have:

  •          Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field and/or at least 5 years’ experience in test management.
  • Relevant experience in software testing, including both manual and automated testing.
  • Experience with test management tools and frameworks and strong understanding of testing methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in preparing reports and staff presentations.
  • Demonstrated strategic and analytical thinking with the ability to find creative solutions. 
  • Have a flexible, self-motivated, and well organised approach to work and demonstrated ability to work under pressure without supervision to meet deadlines. 
  • Be comfortable with managing multiple activities related to testing for the programme. 
  • Effective interpersonal skills with a demonstrated commitment to customer service and willingness to and capability for working with a wide range of people within and outside the organisation. 
  • Effective time management skills and ability to work effectively without supervision and collaboratively as an effective team member.   
  • Holder of a current and valid NZ Drivers’ licence.
