Gagana Samoa - Samoa Language Week 2023

Celebrate Gagana Samoa - Samoa Language Week 2023 with Kāpiti Coast District Libraries! From 28 May to 3 June, you can visit a brilliant display in the Gillian & Roderick Deane Art Space celebrating Samoan culture and language. 

There will also be cultural activities and performances at Paraparaumu Library:

Tuesday 30 May: Siva/dance and pese/song performances throughout the day.

Thursday 1 June, 11:30am-12:15pm: Samoa language drop-in class. Learn the basic greetings of the Samoan language (vowels and pronunciation) a nursery rhyme (pusi nofo) that will enable the learning of greetings. No registration required.
