What’s on for children? We have regular events for all ages and one-off special events. There’s something for everyone!

April School Holidays | Pēpi Time | Tamariki Time | Lego Club | Code Club | Minecraft Club

April School Holidays 

Spend these April School Holidays i roto i te māra - in the garden - with us. Join us for rock painting, make an upcycled garden mobile, learn to love your compost at a composting workshop, and create your own VR garden!

Pēpi Time
Join us for half an hour of music, movement, rhymes, and stories. Pēpi Time is an opportunity to have fun, spend quality 'one-on-one' time with your baby, and connect with other parents and caregivers. Suitable for ages 0-2 years. Term time only.

Tamariki Time

Join us for singing, stories, finger rhymes, music and fun. Activities at Tamariki Time are aimed at 2-4 year olds and their whānau. Term time only.

Waikanae Library  10.30 - 11.00am  Tuesdays 

Paraparaumu Library  10.30 - 11.00am  Wednesdays 

Ōtaki Library  10.30 - 11.00am  Thursdays 

Lego Club

Calling all Lego fans! We supply the Lego pieces, you supply the ideas. Come along to this informal group to get creative and share skills. Term time only.

Paraparaumu Library     3.30–4.30pm    First Thursday of each month

Waikanae Library        3.30-4.30pm       Second Thursday of each month

Ōtaki  Library               3.30–4.30pm      Third Thursday of each month   

Code Club

Come and explore the exciting world of coding! Coding can help in understanding technology, enhance problem-solving skills and boost career prospects, as well as being fun! These are self-paced sessions, where you'll learn coding skills in a supportive social environment. Free devices can be supplied, or you can bring your own. Suitable for ages 9-15.

Minecraft Club

Minecraft is like Lego in 3D. It’s a fun, interactive way for children to engage their imagination, collaborate, share and build their ideas in a virtual world together. We host a private game server where children can play and learn in a safe, controlled environment, with tutor supervision. Get creative, start crafting! Build your own 3-D world and have fun! Suitable for ages 9-15. Term time only.
