Do you like reading, writing and socialising? If so, you might like to join the WRAPPERs group. The Wrappers (Writers, Readers And Poets) are a group of teens who meet once a month to chat about books, participate in fun activities and take on reading and writing related challenges. We meet at Paraparaumu Library from 5:30 to 7 pm on the first Friday of each month. All teens welcome – just turn up on the night or for more information contact Carolyn Knight at Paraparaumu Library.
Our teen blog, The Wrap, keeps local teens up to date with local events, book reviews, and interesting bits and pieces from the world of books and writing. It is produced by Kāpiti District teens and librarians.
During the summer school holidays teens can volunteer at their local library to help children with their report-ins during the Summer Reading Programme. Volunteens information and application forms will be available on the website in October.
