Paraparaumu Beach
Some of the most visited coastline in Kāpiti is at Paraparaumu Beach. It's a popular spot for building sandcastles, fishing, boating, and kayaking. You often see people here knee-deep in the surf with crab or flounder nets, and collecting shellfish.
The recently refreshed Maclean Park playground and skate park is a great spot for families, as are the sea-facing picnic tables and benches for al fresco dining. There’s new landscaping, with covered barbecues and outdoor furniture to enjoy, as well as an upgraded basketball court. The magical views of Kāpiti Island from Paraparaumu Beach will remind you why you live here.
