Understanding the impacts of COVID-19

The impacts of COVID-19 will be far reaching and evolve over time. Here in Kāpiti there are three key areas where we expect our district to face significant challenges:

• economy – covering people’s livelihoods, our local business community, and our economic growth
• social wellbeing – ensuring people have the basics they need to grow and maintain their wellbeing
• cultural wellbeing – all the things that give us a sense of collective identity and make Kāpiti such a great place to call home.

We are working to gather data and indicators about the opportunities and challenges specific to our district. This will allow us to prioritise our recovery efforts and monitor our progress.
