What is a Repair Cafés you ask? Repair Cafés are community events where skilled 'fixers' volunteer to lend their skills to help residents repair broken items.

Ben Philips, co-ordinator of Repair Cafés in Newtown, will be presenting on the international Repair Cafe movement, the Newtown Tool Library story, and the successful Newtown Repair Café events.
The workshop will cover all you need to know to about how to run your own Repair Café event including;
- how to set up a venue appropriately
- managing the event on the day
- recruiting and managing volunteers
- how to promote your event
- legal considerations concerning the repair of electrical items.
