Otaihanga Domain
Head down to Otaihanga Domain for a picnic and a walk this weekend!
There’s access to both sides of the Waikanae River track so you can do a loop - it’s approximately 3km to the next bridge, or you can just take a walk to a nice spot along the river and back again.
There's a well-equipped playground by the entrance of the Domain, with a small climbing wall for toddlers and a larger one for the bigger kids, a spider web climbing net, and a lot to climb on and explore. There are four swings including two baby swings, so this one is truly something for the whole family to enjoy.
There are plenty of picnic spots, toilets, and green space both open and shaded by trees. A beautiful spot for everyone.
Note: The gates for this park are open from dawn to dusk.
