Waikanae War Memorial/Elizabeth Rose Park
This is a beautiful spot in Waikanae. Different varieties of rose gardens are scattered around the park along with plenty of seating. Have a picnic on the grass or the bench seats and bring the kids for a play on one of two playgrounds in the park. There's plenty of shade created by the many trees throughout the park and some shaded seating underneath a pergola. The park's tucked away next to the Waikanae Memorial Hall, train station and Kāpiti Coast Museum.
