Matai Road Reserve

Thank you to everyone who gave us feedback on the playground renewal for Matai Road Reserve, Raumati. 

We have heard:

• this playground is one of our quieter neighbourhood playgrounds but still enjoyed by preteens
• there is a need to keep a focus at this playground for preteens
• there are a number of playgrounds within a 2-kilometre radius that caters for toddlers through to 8 year olds
• climbing and adventure is an important feature of the current equipment
• some equipment for under 5s is desirable
• seating would be a nice addition to the Reserve
• the Matai Community garden is an important component of the reserve
• opportunities to work together with leaseholders to enhance the wider area
• make better use of the green space by changing the location of the playground.
