Across the Kāpiti Coast, in our parks and open spaces, fruit trees have been planted by the Kāpiti Coast District Council to provide free fresh fruit for our community. Fresh fruit is essential for great health, and we aim to support the wellbeing of our people by offering access to a supply of fruit throughout the year.
Our Fruit Tree Project continues to grow, with over 140 trees across the Kāpiti Coast, and more being planted each year. Currently we have apples, plums, feijoas, plums, lemons, olives, tangeloes, peaches and walnuts, all available for the community to harvest when in fruit.
We invite you to enjoy the bounty of fruits and nuts our beautiful district can provide.
You can find the locations of our fruit and nut trees on the map below.
