Edgewater ReserveAbout this reserve Running alongside the Waikanae River and the Waikanae River Track, Edgewater Reserve is a nice place to stop on your walk, have some lunch and play on the swings. There are toilets by the entrance to Fleetwood Grove. This is a dog on leash area. Amenities

Pharazyn ReserveAbout this reserve Pharazyn Reserve is a large reserve located away from the hustle and bustle of town life and is home to many birds. A flying fox makes Pharazyn Reserve’s playground a favourite amongst kids – both young and old. Picnic tables, a toilet and plenty of space to explore makes this one of Waikanae’s great open spaces. Pukekawa ParkAbout this park Pukekawa Park is a great open space close to the Waikanae River. Head through the kissing gate and into the park to a beautiful grass area with mature trees for shade. Russell ReserveAbout this reserve At the end of Ngaio Road, Waikanae Kindergarten sits at the entrance to the small but beautiful Russell Reserve. Follow the path around the reserve, past the Waikanae Scouts hall and become immersed in nature. Walk through the reserve to Ngarara Road and visit Waikanae Park or Waikanae Pools. Amenities

Victor Weggery ReserveAbout this reserve Next to Waimeha Lagoon, Victor Weggery is an expanse of green space with a lot of play equipment and toilets at the corner of Erunui Street and Queens Road. Pockets of play equipment allow for all ages and abilities to enjoy. All kinds of climbing structures can challenge your little ones at different stages of their development while the sand and sand play equipment will help grow their imaginations.
