Class 4 Gambling Policy and TAB Board Venue Gambling Policy consultation

We’re proposing to adopt the Draft Kapiti Coast District Council Class 4 Gambling Policy 2018 and TAB Board Venue Gambling Policy 2018, and we’re now inviting feedback on the Draft Policies.

The purpose of the Class 4 Gambling Policy is to manage the growth and social impact of ‘Class 4 gambling’ in communities.  The purpose of the TAB Board Venue Gambling Policy is to manage the number and location of TAB Board venues within the District.

Making a submission

To help you understand the review process and the development of the 2018 Draft Policies, we've developed:

Paper copies of the Statement of Proposal and submission forms are available from our libraries and service centres.

Submissions can be made in writing using the submission form, or online via the online submission

The formal consultation period will last five weeks, running from 29 October 2018 to 30 November 2018.

Speaking at the hearing

If you’d like to make an oral submission to Councillors, please indicate YES on page 1 of the official submission form and make sure you have included your contact details.

You’ll be contacted after the consultation closes to arrange a time to speak.

Submissions will be heard in February 2019 with the date yet to be determined.
