Leases on reserves

We administer a number of lease agreements on reserve land and in some cases we're required to publicly notify the lease proposals. The purpose of this page is to notify our intent to enter into the following leases. You can provide a submission on any of the proposed leases, see the information at the bottom of the page on how to do this.

The closing date for submissions is 4pm on Thursday 22nd of November 2018.

Scouting New Zealand

The proposed lease is for the use of part of the land situated at Campbell Park, Paekākāriki, being SEC 43 TOWN OF PAEKAKARIKI, and is for a ten year term with two ten year rights of renewal. Scouting New Zealand is a not-for-profit organisation that intends to use the land for activities associated with scouting. Scouting New Zealand own the building on the site.

The land is reserve, managed as Recreation Reserve and the Kāpiti Coast District Council has been appointed to control and manage the reserve. The public notification of this proposed lease is made pursuant to Section 17SC of the Conservation Act 1987.

Kapiti Citizens Services Trust

The proposed lease is for the use of part of the land situated at Blue Gum Reserve, Paraparaumu, being Part Lot 128 DP 9498, and is for a ten year term with two ten year rights of renewal. The Trust is a not-for-profit organisation that intends to use the land for activities associated with community purposes, including support of older persons. The Trust owns the building on the site.

The land is reserve, managed as Recreation Reserve and the Kāpiti Coast District Council has been appointed to control and manage the reserve. The public notification of this proposed lease is made pursuant to Section 17SC of the Conservation Act 1987.

Grazing by W. Read

The proposed lease is for the use of part of the land situated at Ngāwhakangutu Reserve, Peka Peka, being LOT 35 DP 430325, LOT 36 DP 430325 and LOT 41 DP 430325, and is for a five year term. W. Read intends to use the land for activities associated with grazing.

The land is Recreation Reserve and is owned by the Kāpiti Coast District Council. The public notification of this proposed lease is made pursuant to Section 73 of the Reserves Act 1977.
