Jennifer has been a ceramic artist for over 28 years. Diploma of Fine Arts (Ceramics) 1990. She tutors for Otago School of Fine Arts as a distance tutor/supervisor for the Diploma of Ceramic Arts and teaches adult night classes for Ōtaki Pottery Club. She also runs a couple of specialised workshops each year. Her work has won many awards and is in collections here and overseas. Jennifer works in a variety of clays, and fires in electric, gas, and wood kilns. She uses a combination of techniques including throwing, altering, slab work, and hand building. Throughout the year she focuses on groups or series of works, each of which have a theme for an exhibition or commission. Also produces a range of domestic ware and garden pieces. This offers visitors the possibility of seeing a variety of styles and techniques. She draws inspiration from the landscape, her garden, and flora of New Zealand, especially the Kapiti Coast.
