Apply for the Kāpiti Arts Trail 2018

The annual Kāpiti Arts Trail provides artists living and/or working on the Kāpiti Coast with the opportunity to showcase their work to locals and visitors in the district.

It is designed to be a celebration of art on the Kāpiti Coast and to encourage participation and opportunity for established and emerging artists.

The event runs over two weekends:

  • Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 October 2018: 10am to 5pm
  • Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 November 2018: 10am to 5pm

 

There are three available categories for participation in the Kāpiti Arts Trail. Definitions for each category are in the applications and in more detail in the FAQs.

Images required

You can submit up to five digital images of your artworks or venue (include new images/images of new works). Our FAQs detail the specific image requirements.

 

Full participation entry fee

The entry fee is $180 (including GST) for all full participation categories. This fee covers promotional support, and a listing in the Kāpiti Arts Guide 2018/19.

 

'Listing only' fee

Artists and Galleries may also choose the option of "listing only" in the Kāpiti Arts Guide 2018/19 (online and printed), for year-round advertising.

The fee for inclusion in the Kāpiti Arts Guide – "listing only" is $120 (including GST).

To apply for 'listing only" in the Guide:

Artists in Studios: Use the Artist in Studio or Artist in Hub application form to apply for listing only in the Guide.

Galleries: Use Established Art Gallery, Art Society or Guild application form to apply for listing only in the Guide.

 

Notification of successful applications

Successful applications will be notified as soon as possible. If your application is not successful for any reason, your entry fee will be returned to you.

If your application is accepted, then any refund at a later date is at the discretion of the Kāpiti Arts Trail Organiser. After your details have gone to the designer for printing no refund will be possible.

We will also be running free 30-minute sessions at the Learning Centre, upstairs in Paraparaumu Library, to assist with applications on 19 April, 3-5pm and 20 April, 9am-12pm. Bookings are essential.
