Kāpiti Arts Trail: Listing no. 40
Artistic medium: Painting, photography, sculpture, ceramics/pottery, mosaic, jewellery, fibre/textiles, glass, printmaking, woodwork, metal art
Demonstration times: Throughout both weekends
The Creative Centre showcases an extensive display of Kapiti Creativity, with over 40 Artists work & Creative Businesses on-site year-round to inspire you. Demonstrations will be happening throughout the trail. Tours available for groups by appointment.

Ashling Aileron: unique portraitures in charcoal and oil paint, re-telling interesting people’s stories. Ashling’s expressive style and methods vary accordingly with her edgy art experiments and subjects.

Kala Hall: from Caracas, Venezuela, Kala has lived on the Kapiti Coast for nine years. She learnt to paint from her father, gaining qualifications in 2015, and works in diverse mediums. This year’s collection brings colour and cheer into our world.

Mike Mealings: a passion for re-purposing timbers and complimentary materials leads Mike to create pieces that will stand the test of time. His designs are influenced by Middle Eastern and European architecture while maintaining the natural aging appearance of the timbers.
