May 15 Tattoo is an appointment-only tattoo studio located opposite beautiful Ōtaki Beach. The main artist and owner/operator, Lorna creates custom designed tattoos for her clients. Lorna also designs digital art inspired by Te Ao Māori and Wahine Māori.
May 15 Tattoo studio was created with light, transparency ,and manaakitanga in mind, the result of a conscious effort to create an environment that welcomes clients to an open, light but private studio in the hope that it will develop a sense of trust and comfort. Lorna’s years of work through her education background has helped to develop skills in communicating with her clients and ability to develop trust and comfort. Her artwork is very detailed and linear, often referred to as feminine, delicate and intricate.
Lorna’s art is also inspired by cultural patterns of all ages. “The combination of realistic soft images and hard lined geometric pattern work is what guides my current collection.”
Please note: Lorna’s Tattoo studio is not suitable for people younger than 18 years. However, the area used to display artwork is open to all ages and has wheelchair access.
Payment options available: Online bank transfer
Accessibility: The tattoo studio is not suitable for wheelchairs. Children must be supervised and will not be able to enter the studio.
