Recently moved full-time to Kāpiti, Lindsay paints in an eclectic and original expressionist style, recording her reaction to what she sees or experiences delighting the eye with her use of colour.
With long experience of 65 years, she has run her own art school and with her husband Neil Hey, also in the Arts Trail, she exhibited from their own gallery in Christchurch up to 2011. She has exhibited in shows, galleries and arts trails around New Zealand, and in Papua New Guinea and Australia.
Lindsay paints in acrylics, watercolours, charcoal, and graphite, and also includes print making in her art practice. All her paintings are one-off originals.
