Striking, brilliant, and textured acrylic paintings of trees, flowers, and land- and seascapes reflect light in highly interesting ways to create great depth.
Tracey, an artist for 30 years, was originally self-taught, complementing her artistic development through night school and workshops. Her main painting tools are brushes and palette knife, and finds that working with acrylics suits her method of applying many layers.
Tracey draws inspiration from lighting and from gardens, which is obvious by her beautifully kept garden surrounding her easily accessible garage studio in Paraparaumu Beach. For her latest series, she was particularly inspired by the Waikanae Garden Trail in early 2021.
