Enrolling to vote
Are you passionate about your community and want to have a say in the way it moves ahead?
It's not too late to vote!
You can still enrol until 11 October and make a special vote on a special voting form.
You DO need to be enrolled to vote.
If you are a resident and need to enrol to make a special vote:
1. Pick up an enrolment form from any NZ Post Shop or one of our libraries or Service Centres
Anyone who is on the electoral roll can vote in the local elections. If you have moved house, you will need to update your correct address details with the Electoral Commission for your vote to be valid and counted.
Non-resident Ratepayers: If you or your business pay rates in an area that is different from where you live, you may be eligible to enrol on the Kāpiti non-resident ratepayer roll in addition to your residential entitlements.
