Administration Officer - Economic Development – Ref: 12

Fixed Term – Part Time (6months - 20hours/week)

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who has what it takes to succeed in a dynamic and challenging role. Within the Economic Development team, the Administration Officer provides a robust and effective administration support service to the team. The role will be required to undertake a wide range of administrative tasks which in turn support the team in the planning and delivery of their work program to support consistent demonstration of Council’s open for business approach to service delivery across the District.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Effective interpersonal skills with a demonstrated commitment to customer service and willingness to and capability for working with a wide range of people within and outside the organization.
  • Demonstrated high level of PC operational ability and familiarity with common software packages (i.e.: Microsoft Office, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint) and ability to learn new systems and processes.
  • Experience effectively managing diverse information, developing filing system and associated information retrieval processes.
  • Effective communication skills both oral and written.
  • Effective time management and organisational skills including ability to work effectively without supervision and collaboratively as an effective team member, and to work effectively to deadlines.
