If this sounds like you, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Democracy Services Team as a Coordinator.
We are looking for someone who has what it takes to succeed in a dynamic and varied role within the wider Governance and Legal Services function. As a member of the Democracy Services team, you will build strong and effective relationships with elected and appointed members, iwi and staff. You will work with the Manager Democracy Services and other members of the team, playing a key role in coordinating alcohol license application, District Licensing and appeals hearing processes and providing consistent and high-quality support to applicants, interested parties, agencies and the relevant committees.
This position will have primarily responsibility for:
- processing alcohol license applications and communicating with applicants through the licensing process
- facilitating alcohol licensing and appeals hearing processes including preparing and distributing agendas, running in-person and remote hearings, minute-taking, and advertising hearings in line with legislative requirements
- building effective relationships with elected and appointed members, agency representatives and staff
- ensuring a professional service to interested parties and members of the public.
