Group Manager Strategy and Growth - Ref: 9221
The Kāpiti Coast is one of Wellington’s fastest-growing districts, and major infrastructure projects are providing economic benefit for the whole district. The Kāpiti Coast District Council has embraced the meaning of ‘agile’ and has made several changes to how it does things, and this position is an outstanding opportunity to join Kāpiti’s forward-thinking Council in a highly sought-after region.
Reporting to the Chief Executive and a member of the Senior Leadership team, the Group Manager Strategy and Growth is a new position for a seasoned, influential leader with proven experience of the interface between governance and management. The Group Manager will lead a team responsible for the policy, research and strategy work program; district planning; strategic property matters; strategic housing matters; and economic development, including tourism support activities. The work may include provision for recovery initiatives post COVID-19 as required. The appointee will be strategic, customer-focused, collaborative, and have the ability to lead their Group effectively to focus on developing, implementing and supporting the Council’s strategic initiatives and the strategic growth work program.
Take the opportunity to join a passionate group of people who are striving to make a positive contribution to this outstanding district.
