Team Leader Resource Consents – Ref:256
Full Time – Permanent
About the role
Kāpiti Coast District Council is preparing for an unprecedented period of growth and we want to be ready to welcome new residents to our District. With a number of Expressway projects underway and a growing population, and complex high density residential applications being submitted there is a lot happening on the Kapiti Coast. We are now looking for an additional Team Leader Resource Consents to join our team.
The right person for this position will thrive in a dynamic and progressive working environment. Your ability to work effectively across a wide range of issues and enable a customer-focused environment is important to your success in the role.
This is a leadership role, where you will be responsible for providing direction to your team through coaching and mentoring staff, as well as driving high quality delivery of resource consent functions under the Resource Management Act 1991. Keeping up with case law and changes in resource management legislation is also a key part of the role.
Skills and Experience
- Relevant tertiary qualification in resource management or planning, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the RMA, particularly resource consents.
- Excellent leadership skills.
- A demonstrated proactive and collaborative approach to processing resource consents.
