Sustainability
The Kāpiti Coast District Council has adopted sustainable development as a basic building block of the Long Term Plan. Sustainable development is about the way things are done, as well as a vision for the future. It is a way of ensuring the continued social, cultural, economic and environmental wellbeing of the community.
Sustainable development is not just about environmental issues and the Council works to make sure that all projects and programmes reflect the principles.
