Over the years, our work in Ōtaki has included the upgrade and landscaping the Ōtaki SH1 and the railway station, and a major upgrade of the Main Street's stormwater system, street furniture, paving, parking zones and traffic movement.

Ōtaki stormwater upgrade

A major stormwater upgrade is under way in Ōtaki Beach from March 2021 to April 2022. The 13-month project will upgrade the stormwater network along Toi Street, Manuka Street, Moana Street, and Tasman Road at the intersection of Moana Street.

Ōtaki Civic Theatre refurbishment

A major upgrade of the Ōtaki Civic Theatre has been brought forward, thanks to a $500,000 grant from the Government’s Provincial Growth Fund (PGF).

Ōtaki Gorge Road slip

Cracks in the Ōtaki Gorge Road at Blue Bluff (12km inland from SH1) have required the road to be closed at this site.

Tasman Road water main upgrade

A new water main is being installed in May 2021, along a 1.6-kilometre section of Tasman Road/Main Street from the water treatment plant/bore to Matene Street.
