Water Meters | Installation Phase
Water meters have been installed at all properties on or near the public water supply. Some follow-up work is continuing with properties where meter installation was not straightforward.
Meters north of the Waikanae River were installed by Thomas Plumbing and Gas Ltd; south of the Waikanae River by Downer NZ Ltd.
Most meters were installed between mid 2012 and the end of 2013, but they will not be used for charging until July 2014.
For more information see the booklet Important information about your Water Meter, our frequently asked questions (FAQs) page or contact Council on 04 296 4700 / Toll Free 0800 486 486.
