About the role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Property Advisor who has what it takes to succeed in a dynamic and challenging role. As a member of the Strategic Property team, you will be busy undertaking anything from acquisitions for reservoirs to cemeteries to roads, disposals of surplus land, road legalisations and strategic property advice to name a few. We are a small tight knit team of three who enjoy the variety of work we get involved in for our community.
Key Skills and Experience
- At least 5 years’ experience in public land transactions or advisory.
- Proven experience in land and/or property research and providing advice.
- Excellent working knowledge of the Public Works Act, Property Law Act and Local Government Acts, and any other relevant legislation.
- Demonstrated good judgement and political awareness.
- Effective communication skills both oral and written including the ability and confidence to present to formal meetings.
- Effective interpersonal skills with a demonstrated commitment to customer service and willingness to and capability for working with a wide range of people within and outside the organization.
- Effective time management skills and ability to work effectively without supervision and collaboratively as an effective team member.
